My Favorite Trend

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this top. I honestly walked straight into Zara and bought it right away. I am seriously so into this off the shoulder trend I cannot stop buying them. It has definitely turned into a problem because all of my clothes now look the same. It is okay though because I have always been an advocate for wearing what you feel best in and this trend is definitely that for me.

So yesterday was my sisters graduation from college. It is so crazy to think that that will be me in less than two years. I really don't like being reminded how fast life is going by and it makes me sad to think back to when we were just little kids playing tag in the back yard. But what are you going to do we all have to get old at some point. It was such a fun day and I am of course so proud of my sister for sticking through those four hard/fun years of college. YOU DID IT!

How to cover post acne marks & redness

From personal experience I can definitely say acne whether it is severe or not is one of the most difficult things to deal with and definitely takes a toll on ones self esteem. I will never forget how horrible it made me feel about myself and the worst part was no matter how many times I researched  how to get rid of it or spent countless amounts of money on different products everything failed. I had pretty good skin my whole life until I was around 18 and my face literally flipped out on me. I had pretty bad skin for about a year and a half after that but it has now finally gotten better. Trust me it is  nowhere near perfect, I still get  random spots which I absolutely hate but what can you do. I have very fair skin so whenever I got a pimple it always left a pesky red mark behind. I am always experimenting with different products to help get rid of those but those things are not easy to get rid of. So for now I am just focusing on covering them and finding products that do that job efficiently.

Do NOT forget to moisturize since this helps the foundation go on much smoother as well as just have a overall better finish.
Do NOT forget to put SPF on because we don't want these red marks getting worse. Wearing spf is going to help make sure the sun isn't deepening those marks making them harder to get rid of and more permanent.

The first product I use is a primer. This step is something I think is extremely important in keeping the redness covered since throughout the day your foundation does tend to rub off naturally. Having a primer is going to help it stay on longer so you don't have to keep reapplying it. This Makeup Forever  primer is one of my favorite primers because it smoothes out my skin and really does help my foundation stay on longer.

This foundation is one I have talked about before and it is the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. This is honestly one of the best foundations I have tried and it really works for my skin. It does a great job at covering redness and since I am so pale I've got a whole lot of it! This foundation also has  a powerful staying power and will last you almost an entire day without budging.

This concealer has quickly become one of my favorites. I was in love with the Nars creamy concealer but I felt like that ran out so quickly. This Estee Lauder concealer lasts me a long time and does a great job at covering any spots or even under eye circles.

The last face product I use is the Lancome Dual Finish powder which is another one of my favorites. If you are looking for a bit more coverage or just a great powder this is the one for you. If the foundation doesn't hide the red marks this powder will. This product is something that is also really easy to take with you and reapply since it is a compact powder. I do have normal to dry skin so I haven't had a problem with this looking oily throughout the day which is another plus.

My Perfect Denim Jacket

If there is one thing I know I will never get rid of it is my denim jacket. This thing has been with me for about four years now and I honestly treasure it. This is most likely my most worn clothing item in my closet and it definitely adds to my collection of jackets. I am absolutely obsessed with jackets and have no idea why. I honestly just feel like they make any outfit look cooler. That could be my obsession talking but oh well we all have that one thing in our closet we automatically go to when we need to throw an outfit together.

Nothing But Stripes

I seriously live in rompers. Although, that being said, I have a very love/hate relationship with them. They bug the crap out of me because I have to completely undress just to use the restroom. However, there is just something so easy about only having to put one piece of clothing on and that being your whole outfit. This one from Urban Outfitters definitely has to be one of my favorites at the moment.

Tarte Liquid Lipstick Review

Im going to start off by saying I have naturally really dry lips so it is honestly extremely hard for any matte lip cream to look good on me. That being said, I have been trying this product out the last month and have a very love/hate relationship with it. I love the fact that it maintains its creamy texture even after drying matte on my lips. The color payoff is great and the color I got (Namaste) is honestly my perfect nude. My issues with this lip cream are that it really settles into the lines on my lips as well as since the product stays creamy it is extremely transferable and does not stay in place very well. Also, the lip cream almost completely comes off after eating or drinking so you need to reapply this stuff very frequently throughout the day. At the price of $20.00 I would say its an average liquid lipstick and personally not my favorite. I tend to like liquid lipsticks that stay in place without me having to worry that after half an hour of application it is has smeared all over my face. I know a lot of people like this product but for me it just wasn't my favorite.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

Let me start off by saying this foundation is one of my favorite foundations. I have been using it for a couple months now and I absolutely love it. I suffer from redness as well as some post acne marks and this foundation does a great job at helping conceal them. I have applied it with both a brush and a beauty blender and definitely like how it applies with a beauty blender more. When it is applied with a brush I think it is much harder to blend out and can look a bit thick on the face. When it is applied with a beauty blender I think the foundation blends out seamlessly. It is a full coverage foundation but when applied with a beauty blender you can either build it up or keep it to a more medium to full coverage foundation. The last plus to this foundation is that it lasts all day on your face. I swear there is nothing I hate more than having to reapply makeup so if I can find a foundation that doesn't wear off super easy I will stick to it. The last thing I am going to say is that I have dry skin and although this foundation may be a little drying it doesn't bother me at all or break me out. The only thing I would say is if you have super dry skin I would test it out before buying it because you may want a more hydrating foundation than this one.

This last photo is me having had the foundation on for 6 hours. Literally not one smudge.

✽ Florals ✽

This is my perfect summer/spring dress. I love the the pop of color that is seen through the flowers and just the overall boho vibe of it. Nothing beats a perfect, comfy dress during the spring and summer months.

June Gloom

The weather out here has been absolutely horrid. Looks like the good ole June gloom is starting early this year. Oh well because I'm obsessed with baggy jeans so this weather gives me the chance to wear them without dying of heat stroke.

Cool Day in LA

I swear there is nothing I love more than bomber jackets. I don't know if this stems from my love of oversized clothing because if there is one thing I love it is being comfortable. Either way, styling them is so simple and easy which is why they are my go to when the weather cools down out here in L.A.

One of my favorite things about summer in California are the sunny days and the good vibes. I honestly couldn't imagine living anywhere but here (except NY I would love to live there). But for now this is one of my go to looks during a simple and easy summer day.

My Skincare Staples

I am always on the search for new skincare products. I am definitely one of those people who buy way too many just to be disappointed with the results. Every skincare product, whether it be a facial cleanser, an eye cream, or a night cream all promise something. Because of this, we spend a ton of money to try and find quick fixes to skin problems. These few skincare products here, are some of the few that have worked for me and I believe are just overall good products.

This first one is a little hard to see since the label has wiped off quite a bit but this is the AmorePacific exfoliant. This is my all time favorite exfoliant. As a current sufferer of dry skin as well as post acne marks I really enjoy this. It is one of the best exfoliants I have tried and really think it is worth the price.

This right here is one of my favorite detoxifying masks. I have tried a few others including the Origins one as well as the Clarins one and this is by far my favorite. Whenever I do get a few spots on my face this really helps to shrink them. I apply this at night around once a week and by morning I really do see a difference in my skin.

For a while I had been wanting to try this out but just couldn't get myself to do it because of the price.  After reading all the reviews I decided to get it. This product I think does a really great job at fading red marks as well as keeping my face moisturized over night. It is not a miracle worker but I do think it is one of the products that you are able to see a change out of using.

I have used this moisturizer for years and it has not let me down. I will say that in the winter it is not as great being that it is not a heavy moisturizer. The reason I have always loved it is because it has never broke me out and since I have such sensitive skin a lot of other moisturizers have. I definitely think this is a good staple moisturizer that helps moisturize normal/dry skin.

One thing I have always hated was having to take my makeup off. I used to use Bioderma but I do not feel like it took my makeup off as easily as this does. I felt with Bioderma that I was having to really rub my face just to get my makeup off which I didn't like. This has to be my favorite Micellar water not only because it works but because of the low price as well.
